OMG!!! I did not realize how long its been since I posted on here! Obviously VARF has come and gone already! We had a great season breaking new records this year over last year and the weather we had was FABULOUS except for one rain day and that wasn't really even that bad a rain day! I was the GM for the Nobles again this year and we had a much better season this season that last season for our shows. I understood better what was needed and how to do it so it worked much better this year. Still and always will be room for improvement though. I'm a perfectionist what can I say? LOL
Once VARF ended we took a breather and then went up to Sterling Ren Fest for the first time ever in July. They had been having nice cool and dry weather for the entire run so of course the weekend we go its hot and humid! LOL I think we brought the weather with us! ;-) Despite the heat and a rain storm, we had a GREAT time! Its a very nice faire. The only thing I found a little strange was the layout of the paths. They seemed as though some drunk wondered around and that is where they put the paths. LOL Just a little confusing for new folks to determine if we'd seen everything or not is all but we're pretty sure we didn't miss a thing. Thanks to everyone in Sterling who made our first visit enjoyable!
We also upgraded our faire accomodations from a nice large 2 room tent to a really nice size pop up camper. We now have A/C and running water! WAHOOO! Taking it out on its virgin trip at the end of August for MDRF opening weekend. We have a LOT to do to get it equipped and ready to go but we should be all set by the time we're ready to go.
We'll be at MDRF for opening, Labor Day and Closing Weekends for sure and then what ever other days we can make. Also planning a trip to PARF sometime in September and Pittsburgh Ren Faire for closing weekend Oct 1 and 2. We'll close out our faire season at the Carolina Renaissance Faire in Charlotte for their closing weekend and by then should be in full swing getting ready for VARF!
Well I'll try not to be so long between posts out here so have a great faire season and hopefully I'll meet a lot of you in our travels.

I really appreciate the black sheep that you and your lovely gave me. I use it as my therapeutic sheep at work when I get stressed. I probably look like a twisted Dr. Evil, petting my lamb with a warped look on my face. However, the little fella makes me happy and worries my work colleagues. What could be better?
Royal FainGood to see you all at the M'Crack Invasion.
