Well all I can say is WOW!  I was going crazy, OK worse than normal, because I wasn't sure if I had done everything right since I am the GM and if the court was ready to go.  Well once we opened and everything started rolling all my worries left me.  I was worried about nothing!  They were AWESOME!  The court went trough its paces without a hitch all weekend including a garb malfunction by the Queen (she stepped on her farthingale and dress and almost pulled it off) and a schedule that somehow didn't match the one we had.  The rest of the cast was amazing too!  Everywhere you looked there were cast members playing with patrons and it was FUN!!!!  We had an amazing day on Saturday and a little rain, OK it drizzled all day and poured for about 1/2 hour there, on Sunday.  Even with the rain day we were up 28% over last year's opening weekend!!!  This weekend is a long one with Memorial Day on Monday but it should be a blast.  If the local military bases come through as they are talking, we might be totally swamped on Monday with military and that would be TOTALLY COOL!!  We provide free admission that day for all active duty military personnel.  Well that's all for now.  Hope to see you there!

Man how time flies!  It seems like just yesterday when I agreed to be the Court Guilde Master for the Virginia Renaissance Faire and now Dress Rehearsal is this weekend!  We're still trying to get all the last minute garbing completed in time for Saturday but I think we'll be OK given that my lovely wife has all day today and tomorrow to work on it and I'm helping where I can by doing hand work and simple other things.  We open next weekend (May 17) and I just cannot wait!  I'm excited and terrified at the same time!  We added a couple new shows to the Court this year and I'm hoping they will be enjoyed by the audience as much as we enjoy doing them.  I AM very excited though about the latest development.  The Court now has its own stage!  It is about 20x20 and gives us a great place to perform!  Hope I can see many of you there this year!  Anon!
